Safe Water Access for The Rohingya Refugees

Shoes by Shaherazad Charity

We've Flamingled

We were shocked by the recent outbreak of civil and political unrest in Myanmar. More than 800,000 Rohingya people have been forced to flee their homes into the borders of Bangladesh. This has left most people without basic needs like food, water and shelter. Conditions in refugee camps are said to be worsening as the areas become over crowded with increased spread of disease and famine.

Why We're Standing Tall

Safe Water Access, aims to raise funds to install water dispensers in the refugee settlements to allow people access to clean water to drink and wash.

We Flamin-go So Well Together

The Rohingya people have long been persecuted in Myanmar.  Rohingya Muslims are not recognised as real citizens and are exempt from basic services like education and healthcare. Life has been a struggle for most of the people who live in basic villages in western Myanmar, and now their lives have been truly devastated.

A state of emergency has now been declared, and so Shoes by Shaherazad has made a financial contribution towards securing fresh clean water for as many people as possible.  Every purchase of our heels helps more refugees to gain access to life saving water supplies.
