This week I was honoured to have received an invitation to share a copy of my book and research on women's empowerment with the Prime Minister's Office at No 10 Downing Street.
As of 2019 there is still not a single country in the world where women have full equality with men and so it meant a lot to have the opportunity to get my research and calls to action in to the hands of the top team responsible for running the country.
I had a wonderful time last weekend visiting the senior school which I left in 1993 having completed my GCSEs. I've been back to the school a number of times...
It was the day I realised why.
Why there is not a single country in the world where women have full equality with men. Not one. Why more girls than boys experience extreme hunger across the world. Why we more often than not get paid less than men for the same (yes, the very same) work.
